Eye Love the Subtle Sheen of These Satin Finishes: The $3 NYC New York Color Mono Eyeshadows - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Thanks to NYC New York Color'southward x new limited edition Mono Eye Shadows ($ii.99 each), I'm a little less freaked out about my birthday next calendar month (I'thou turning 36, oy vey!). I've been on the market for heart makeup that doesn't depict attention to my fine lines, so these comfort colors could not have come at a ameliorate time.
Near of them have this sophisticated, soft satin terminate that's one of the most bonny, forgiving satins I've always seen from a drugstore line (in that location are too a couple of mattes and frosts).
In terms of shine, satiny shadows broadcast a subtle sheen that sits somewhere between shimmers (or frosts) and mattes, and unlike hullo-shine shimmers, they don't announced to actively seek out the tiny wrinkles on my lids.
I experience like NYC's satin shades plow back the clock to a kinder, gentler time — let's telephone call information technology 26, LOL! — when my optics looked all bright and glowy most of the time. 🙂
A few of the shades stand out to me like…
- Luxury Reborn — If MAC Woodwinked and Soba had a honey child, I bet information technology would expect just like this warm and gilt bronzy brownish. Information technology looks BANGIN' in the crease. Got teals, golds and greens? Don't miss Luxury Reborn.
- Broadway Look — This deep charcoal is the star of playgrounds where smokey heart looks are found.
- In Vogue — I like this dark majestic because it contains very piffling red, and some scarlet purples can make me expect like I've been crying.
Clockwise from the brown pan on the bottom left: Luxury Reborn, In Vogue and Broadway Await
Clockwise from pinkish pan on left: Fizz List, High Street and 5th Artery
I Honey NY
Swatches from left to correct: Broadway Look, I Beloved NY, Luxury Reborn, Manhattan Gaze, In Faddy, High Street, fifth Artery and Buzz List
Wearing Luxury Reborn, In Vogue and Broadway Look on the optics
These too layer well and resist creasing and fading. I can really pack 'em on without them looking heavy. And on summit of everything else, they leave little, if any, fallout beneath my optics.
Keep an eye lout for these at your local drugstore. They should exist arriving side by side month.
Toll: $2.99 each
AVAILABILITY: Coming presently to drugstores next calendar month (June 2011)
MAKEUP AND Beauty BLOG RATING: A+

I tin't finish Swiffer-ing!
You know those Swiffer Sweeper thing-a-ma-bobs? This is prolly going to make me sound like a weirdo…but I frickin' LOVE mine. I picked one up at Target last weekend, and at present I don't know how I lived this long without information technology.
I'm serious, it turned cleaning the kitchen floor into a 2-minute job. Those disposable dry cloths make quick work of dust, crumbs and tabby hair.
If yous have hirsuite pets or live with a lot of dust, you have got to give ane of these a try. Information technology's viii:thirty at night right at present, and I'm really tempted to clean the floors! 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
